Lathe
work (aka "woodturning") is one of my favorite hobbies. I began
"turning" around 1978. I enjoy making larger items, such as platters,
tabletops and bowls. I like to add a little accent turning to my
furniture projects, when appropriate, such as legs or knobs . Ambrosia

Coring: steps to prepare a bowl blank from fresh cut, or "green", wood.
Three bowls, "blanks" are cored from one piece of wood . The blanks are
then aged, "seasoned" or "dried", and returned to final thickness and
shape.
